The beam bridge is located about eight kilometers south of Coburg between Untersiemau and Obersiemau. It spans the district road CO 28, the Siemauer Mühlbach and a farm road.
The bridge, built between 2010 and 2013, was part of construction section 3110 (also called Lichtenfels construction section) of the new line, which lay between construction kilometers 9,090 and 15,144 and also included the Kulch tunnel, the Lichtenholz tunnel and five road overpasses as well as the earthworks on the open route .
