Hiking
Skalia, despite being a small, mountainous village, became the symbol of resistance against the Turkish conquerors. The Skalia people did not pay taxes, did not bow down, did not submit and ultimately paid for it with their blood. The Turks tried several times to occupy Skalia, not of course for its rich lands or its strategic location, but because the mentality of the Skalia people had to be bent.
