Hiking
The entrance to the Toplou Gorge is located 200 meters south of the monastery. The hike through the gorge leads down a mostly dry stream bed toward the sea. Beautiful rock formations, some wildlife, and numerous oleanders in the stream bed make the hike an experience.

This gorge hike is underrated. Not long, not difficult, not spectacular. But for us, one of the most beautiful in Crete.
