The two toll booths at the Arco della Pace (the two buildings on either side of the arch) have recently been restored, finally bringing them to life and no longer just plain old boxes. The Levante toll booth is a hub for promoting and experimenting with food culture, while the Ponente toll booth is a hub for promoting local art and culture.
