Between 2001 and 2011, quite a number of bridal couples sponsored the planting of an elm on the wedding avenue so that they can remember their marriage in Friedrichskoog or Marne forever.
The trees that have been planted have been given a plaque with the names and wedding days of the respective couple.
The last sponsorship was taken over at the end of 2011 and unfortunately there is no space available for the future. (Source: Amt Marne)
