Haus Opherdicke is one of the most outstanding architectural monuments in the region. The moated castle built in the 12th century is a prime example of the harmonious juxtaposition of historical preservation and contemporary use. The location of the house, its variety of uses and its architectural beauty combine to create an atmosphere full of charm and originality.
The Kultur-Café in the basement invites you to linger after a walk, bike ride or visit the exhibition on the first floor of Haus Opherdicke. In addition to a beautiful view of the Ruhr Valley, it offers small bites, such as cakes, snacks and drinks.
