Hiking
Largely carved from living rock, it was only brought back to light in 1839 and, at 140 meters long and 119 meters wide, is of monumental proportions. It has two entrances and is accessible via a complex system of stairs. The cavea, with its rows of seats, surrounds the arena, and behind a raised podium lies the covered corridor through which the gladiators and wild animals were led into the arena.
