Northeast of the Rur Bridge near Bosfange stands the so-called Russian Cross, commemorating a prisoner of war camp for Russians that existed from March 1943 to September 1944. The cross was erected in 1963 and renovated in 1992. It is designed in the style of a Russian Orthodox cross.

This cross was erected to commemorate the Soviet prisoners of World War II. Two prisoners are buried in the Nidrum cemetery, next to their compatriots who died in the Elsenborn camp (28 graves in total).
