What slightly confused me was the lack of a display board or anything similar to show the progress of the ferry arrival and departure times.
Only an A4 notice on the closed counter indicated that staff would collect you for check-in about 30 minutes before departure. The online booking system stated that you had to be at the terminal at least one hour (!) before departure.
