The bike path is very well developed and leads down to the Ruhr to Dahlhausen.
The last section from Schlosspark Weitmar to Dahlhausen was officially opened on 07.06.2019.
The name Springorum comes from the former chairman of the Gelsenkirchen mine AG Otto Springorum (1890-1955). Then the former Springorum power plant was named in Weitmar which stood on the current route
