The spot Ahlden is especially known for its well-maintained barn area. Today, more than 25 barns have been preserved, many of them in monumental condition. Some of the historic barns were even converted into residential buildings. But the remaining houses and the small church are well worth a visit. The castle in Ahlden is today an art auction house.

Thanks to the restaurant Zur Alten Leine Ahlden is also well suited for a cozy rest. The restaurant is open from 5 pm on Tuesdays to Fridays, from 3 pm on Saturdays and from 11 am on Sundays.
