Course of the Allertal Railway:
The station Celle reached and left the route in a southerly direction, so that through trains had to change their direction there. Thus, the Allertal Railway was divided into two branches without continuous passenger traffic. The eastern part from Gifhorn had VzG route number 1724, for the western part after Wahnebergen was the number 1721. In Celle there were transitional possibilities to the East Hanoverian railways, to the railway line Hannover-Hamburg, the railway line Celle-Braunschweig and the Kreuzbahn Celle-Lehrte.Freight trains operated from Schwarmstedt to Gilten until December 31, 1993 - I am still driving this route with locomotive class V100.Source: WikipediaFor further interest:
