Rechtenstein Castle is a former double castle in the village of Rechtenstein, whose origins date back to the 11th century. The von Stein men lived in one half, the von Rechtenstein men in the other half. From the bike path you have a great view over the Danube to the ruins.

The ruin Rechtenstein, also called Burg Stein, is the ruin of a hilltop castle at 550 m above sea level. NN high ridge directly on the Danube in a local position above the municipality of Rechtenstein in the Alb-Danube district in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
