Uggerby Å is Denmark's northernmost trout lake. The river's productive fishing area stretches from the mouth on the edge of Uggerby Plantation to the fish ladder in Bindslev. even if you are not in Denmark for fishing, you will enjoy this fish ladder. It was built from field stones and secures the fish the passage at a lock. Denmark's only hydroelectric power station was operated via this lock in the 1920s. It has been a museum since 2004 and entry is free. There is a large playground for children. Another museum opens in summer, it shows craft techniques and tools.
