The Mycenaean cemetery of Kambi is a significant archaeological site. It offers rare insights into the burial practices of the Late Bronze Age in this region.
The cemetery was discovered by chance in 1971 during road construction.
It is located in the remote western region of Zakynthos, on Vigla Hill near the village of Kambi.
The site consists of 14 rectangular shaft graves hewn directly into the limestone. Based on pottery finds, the graves are dated to the Late Helladic period IIB to IIIC (c. 1450-1100 BC).
