The Parks Department announces that the observation tower at Goethestein in Frauenstein will be closed immediately due to the acute risk of collapse. Current status as of August 10, 2024. The tower is no longer there. What a pity. I really hope that a new tower will be built in the same place. However, it would have to be a bit higher than the old wooden tower. Recently, you couldn't really see much from above. And precisely because the place is on or near the Rheinsteig, a new tower would be a highlight.
