WOODHENGE "De Tijd" is a circle of wooden trunks (a contemporary "Woodhenge," inspired by Stonehenge in England), with an abstract sculpture at its center, holding a diagonally placed timeline. This art installation functions as a modern sundial, a memorial, and a spatial narrative about the meaning of time. The timeline contains important dates from Putten's history, supplemented with numbers and coordinates.
Every day at noon, the sun casts a shadow of the timeline onto the circle's northern trunk, a moment when past and present literally intersect.
