This stone bust commemorates the founder of the Jibou Botanical Garden, Professor Vasile Fati. Equipped with exceptional hard work and admirable tenacity, the new high school biology teacher recognized the potential of the land surrounding the high school and boarding school, which was then housed in the former Wesselényi family residence, in 1959.
