Count Palatine Friedrich von Parkstein lived in the house as a residence from 1585 to 1593.A commemorative plaque next to the entrance portal, built in 1534, announces that the later prince-bishop of Vienna, Franz Ferdinand von Rummel, was born there in 1644 in the Vesten Haus.
