City model of Linn around 1650 with Elector Clemens-August.
Located directly at the museum cafe Linn, worth a short detour.

Linn Castle is a well-preserved moat castle from the late Middle Ages. A classical fortress surrounded by a complex of fortifications, a second wall, and landscaped gardens, which has been added over the centuries, invites you to linger and explore. A nice destination!Nearby restaurants, especially at the outermost castle gate / museum highly recommended restaurant, refuel before it goes on.On some days there are also medieval markets and festivals. A castle tour is also very interesting. Googling for Linn Castle ...

One of the most beautiful moated castles on the entire Lower Rhine. Every year at Pentecost the flax market takes place. Highly recommended. Comes by bike. Parking is also available, but at the guarded Faharradstellplätzen you go absolutely no risk!

To enter the castle, you have to pay admission but it looks pretty good from the outside.

When viewed from the outside, the museum cafe is hardly noticeable. You sit quite well - and in the courtyard there are also some quiet and cozy places. There is a delicious cake selection and a few hearty snacks and a prize-winning museum beer.
I can especially recommend the museum sundae - with fresh strawberries.

The flax market is always very busy. Lunch today at the Cafe am Museum. There are fewer places and the ice cream parlor from the past is missing, but otherwise recommendable

In 1188 Otto von Linn sold the "Allodium de Linne" for 100 marks to the Archbishop of Cologne, Philipp I von Heinsberg.
In 1924, Councilor of Justice Gustav Schelleckes, as a co-heir to the estate of Marianne Rhodius, then sold the castle ruins, including the hunting lodge and all other associated properties, to the city of Krefeld for 506,000 marks.

You can cycle to this forecourt and then have a beautiful direct view of the Linn moated castle and the bridge over the moat (= entrance to the museum) of the castle.
