The Thaler Hut was built in 1899 and is named after the Privy Chief Forestry Officer Dr. Karl Thaler. The octagonal round temple with a tent roof and a view of the upper Frauenwald meadow directs the view to the east. Located on a hill, the hut is around five meters wide and around four meters high and is open on three sides. There are St. Andrew's crosses in the parapet panels and so-called headbands at the transition to the roof. In cold winters you can go sledding or skiing on the upper Frauenwaldwiese, also known as the ski meadow.
