    Gut Mydlinghoven can look back on an eventful history.

    Originally rebuilt by Ritter House to house as a watermill to Wasserburg, it served, among other things, from 1915 as a rest home for pit horses. The horse stable south of the estate and the watermill have now expired.

    Just a few years ago the estate housed a retirement home and a restaurant. After the bankruptcy, we have been using it since 2015 as an "alternative" form of living (so-called "cohousing").
