The kingfisher, which we soon discover on the walled park lake of the Bruchhauser estate, compensates us royally; the imposing estate is also impressive as a structural unit; from an architectural point of view, everything appears to be consistently designed from a single source; the associated ravine, paved with cobblestones, leads us up to the Erkrather Landstrasse.
