Foul-smelling mud was the result of decades of nutrient supply in the floodplain area. In 2020, water remediation began: Prepared quartz flour was added to the watercourses on a weekly basis to support natural microbiology. In the meantime, the metabolism is back on track, which can be seen in the clear water.
