Seen from the street, behind the chapel there is the pastorate and the pilgrimage office. The pilgrimage site has developed into a well-known place of pilgrimage, which is visited by around 150,000 visitors every year. Every Wednesday since 1863, numerous pilgrims, mainly from Aachen, have come to Moresnet on foot through the Aachen Forest.
