Hirschsteinhäusel - also a vanished village in the Bohemian Forest. It was located on the western slope of the mountain Lissa, at an altitude of 700 m. The village once had 38 houses and 244 inhabitants. In 1957 the village was razed to the ground. A fountain and two crossroads contribute together to the special atmosphere of this forgotten place.

Mountain biking

In Hirschsteinhäusel there were 38 houses with 224 inhabitants. After 1945 the village was razed to the ground because it was in the border strip. Two wayside crosses, the village well and some foundation walls bear witness to the once remote Bohemian village on the Hirschstein.
At the mighty village linden tree, the hiking trail (in very bad condition) branches off to the Hirschstein. The ascent can be made with a mountain bike.
