2,407 soldiers are laid to rest here.... It's hard to imagine why and for what purpose these men died.... Heroes? Perhaps, some certainly... but I think my father was a hero... he survived... otherwise I wouldn't be here...
Remember this when you walk through this cemetery... the men were robbed of their future... leaving behind grief and despair...
