Tips
On the northeast side of the Schwerin Lake lies between Hohen Viecheln and Flessenow the lake and the nature reserve Döpe.
The Döpe lake has a size of approx. 50 ha with a depth between 2 and 5 m. Inlet receives the Döpe lake over the Wittenbach which is fed from the Wittensee and the Ventschower See. A drain has the Döpe lake over a stream that flows into Lake Schwerin. On Döpe is the island of Schwanenberg, it is overgrown with many trees and shrubs. At Lake Döpe live various frog and toad species, forest lizards, sneaking and grass snakes. Döpe Lake is forbidden to fish, swim and drive. Only the fishing Prignitz from Hohen Viecheln has a permit to fish on the Döpe lake.
