A beautiful avenue with plenty of benches to sit on. In the old train station building next door, you can buy handicrafts and enjoy something to eat and drink.

a listed building designed (like most Finnish station buildings of the era) by Bruno Granholm and completed in 1908, the Lusto (originally Punkaharju) station was built unusually fancy for such a location in anticipation of the posh tourist traffic (possibly even an imperial visit) to the area, now a private residence that is also used for art exhibitions
the halt is served by half a dozen daily local trains to Parikkala (with connections to Helsinki and Joensuu) and Savonlinna
