Normally, I do not think it's a good idea to mark a complete lap. But there is no reason to turn back here before. There's nothing out there except the forest, and the maps are rather half useful. Much nature, S0 to S1.

The Hakin kierros cycling route in Punkaharju's Research Park offers a ride through diverse tree species (over 130!), named after the rare nutcracker found there. You'll enjoy peaceful forest scenery and can stop for snacks with stunning Lake Saimaa views at the Karjalankallio lean-to-shelter, which also has basic facilities.
