The large building with hotel is unfortunately the decay revealed and is no longer used. But there is a rest stop, where the departures begin and another about 500 meters from the starting point on the track. The small observation tower was renovated in 2013 with EU funding. The Klínovec (German Keilberg, formerly: Sonnenwirbel) is 1243.7 m above sea level. the highest elevation of the Erzgebirge. It is located in the Karlovy Vary region of the Czech Republic. Together with the nearby Fichtelberg on the German side it forms the most important winter sports area in the Erzgebirge.
