Grain from Bohemia was milled at Königsmühle, and the flour was then transported to Saxony and sold there. To ensure the mill's water needs, the Black Water (Černá voda) stream was dammed to form a small millpond. On the outer wall of the ruins, you can still see the ditch in which the mill wheel once turned.
