The Tivat Saltworks was first documented in the 14th century as one of the few places where salt could be legally sold. It operated for many years, occasionally closing, until it was finally shut down during Yugoslav rule in the 1960s.

Cycling
Entrance area of the Tivatska Solila Nature Reserve, with an information center. A beautiful reserve that, in my opinion, is a must-visit if you're in the area. Beautiful sunsets, various waterfowl can be observed here, and unique vegetation. Drive, stop, observe, enjoy.
