The building was erected in the years 1938-1939 according to the design of Witold Minkiewicz and put into use in July 1939. Its construction began when the Old Spa House could not accommodate the constantly increasing number of patients in the 1930s. During World War II, it served only German patients and was part of the Casino-Gesellschaft.
