Massimo Ghiotti was born on 1938 and died in 2023, May 19th, in Turin, where he livef and worked.

He finished the Economics and Commerce studies and then realized his ancient desire of completing the artistic studies in the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti of Turin, where he got the certificate in Painting with Francesco Menzio, Mario Calandri and Piero Martina and then the certificate in Sculpture with Sandro Cerchi and Albino Galvano.

In 1973 he started teaching Figura and Ornato modellato (Figure and modelled Ornament) in the first Liceo Artistico Statale of Turin.

Solicited by Sandro Cerchi, he started to exhibit his first sculptures in 1972 at Galleria La Minima of Turin (Albino Galvano presented him like an «artist of good race») and he participated in eight sculptural competitions, winning seven of them
