The only 8.30 m "high" Hegeberg offers a great view of the surrounding natural landscape with dry grasslands, salt marshes, reeds, the Schlei up to the other Schlei shore and the mouth of the Schleiß with pilot house and poison booth. A beautiful spot of earth.

From the Galgenberg you have a great view to Maasholm and to the Schleimünde pilot island. There is also a stele here as an indication of the course of the tenth meridian: Maasholm-Hamburg-Tunis.
