Gravel Bar Campsite, also known as Backcountry Campsite #2, is located approximately 9.5 kilometers from the Elk River Trailhead on Highway 28 at an elevation of approximately 680 meters. There is no infrastructure other than simple toilet huts and metal food containers to protect against bears. Drinking water is taken from the river and should be filtered.
