Hiking
Butterwort Flats Campsite, or Backcountry Campsite #1, is located approximately 7 kilometers from the Elk River Trailhead on Highway 28 at an elevation of approximately 480 meters. There are no amenities other than simple toilet huts and metal boxes to protect food from bears. Drinking water is taken from the river and should be filtered.
