Hiking
The Hammergraben, a tributary of the Spree, is a challenging canoeing water due to several barrages. Moving boats around the weirs isn't always easy. However, the stretch of river from the Peitz Ironworks to the Maustmühle is not only scenically attractive, but also a wonderful stretch of water for inexperienced paddlers. The ironworks is a convenient starting point for a canoeing trip. There are two boat rental companies on site. Please note: canoeing on the Peitz ponds is not permitted!
