The natural bridge built in 1799 has been rebuilt and renewed several times over the centuries. Seven stages of construction have survived. At this point in the Park an der Ilm there was already an arch bridge with natural wood railing, a straight bridge with metal railing and the new building with white wooden railing from 2002, which many will be familiar with. The great flood in 2013 had damaged it so badly that it was impossible to renovate and it was unavoidable to demolish it. Now the new building has been completed.
