The site of S'Adde 'e Asile is located on the slopes of Monte Corona 'e Teula and has 11 domus de Janas plus two excavation attempts. The domus can be found sometimes isolated and sometimes grouped together, the most important are the Tomba delle Clessidre and the Tomba Brunuzzu. The Tomba delle Clessidre is a multi-celled hypogeum and is oriented to the south-east (direction of the sun). It has a small dromos at its entrance. At the end of the dromos there is an antechamber and the other cells. It has a radial shape. The dromos is 3.5 meters long and gradually widens towards the entrance. As for the Brunuzzu tomb, this is located 200 meters lower than the Tomba dell'Ovile and has an architectural facade decoration. The entrance, which is characterized by a stele door similar to that of the tombs of the giants, is divided into two parts: the lower part where we have the entrance to the domus and the upper part where we find the upper part of the stele. In the lower part of the entrance you can also see what was a seat counter that gives rise to a sort of semicircle called exedra. About 200 meters north of the hypogeum of Brunuzzu, the Tomba dell’Ovile is easily identifiable due to the enormous size of the entrance, so called because of the improper reuse that occurred over the centuries. Only a few rooms remain. Finally, the Tomba Maggiore, the largest in Sardinia, has 21 rooms inside but unfortunately it cannot be accessed because it has collapsed.
