Over hill and dale with a slightly slippery river crossing.

This rather trail route goes across the Quellental, but is not always easy to find the way, but can be mastered with a normal bike

The Rodenbeker Quellental nature reserve is one of the most beautiful natural oases in Hamburg and is located on the outskirts between Bergstedt and Wohldorf-Ohlstedt. The river Rodenbek and the many springs, which form small streams between the forests and clearings and supply some ponds in the area with their influx.

The area crossed by Alster and Rodenbek with small valleys in dreamy forest and water landscape can be explored by bike, but is also a great destination for long walks and canoe trips. There is a small adventure playground for children, which is directly behind the entrance at the end of the Haselknick street.

The Rodenbeker pond directly on the Rodenbeker Straße is a very good access point to the nature reserve, where there is really forest romance right at the start of a bike or hiking tour. There are also some parking spaces and the popular Quellenhof.

There are further entrances on the “Haselknick” street, with the parking spaces at the end of the street belonging to the catering trade and the camping site. It makes sense to look for a parking space right at the beginning of the street.
