On August 2, 1978, the Cranger Tor was inaugurated. It was then a gift of the showman (Ludwig Kallenkoot).
In 1990, for the 555th anniversary of the Cranker Kirmes, the master locksmith Constantin Costaras decorated the gate. In addition, for the first time he put up the three numbers showing how many times the carnival took place. From now on Constantin Costaras brought the new number every year for free.
On August 13, 1997, the gate was rammed by a semi-trailer and had to be repaired.
