In the 19th century, the Dahme was at this point the border between Prussia and Saxony. A white-black border post on the northern side for Prussia and a yellow-black border post on the southern side for Saxony still mark the former border. Directly on the banks of the Dahme is also a bank and a small informative sign to the former border.
