In 1906, the city council decided to build a third elementary school on what is now Unitasstraße, in the northern part of the city and not far from the newly constructed housing developments. The building included 14 classrooms and a gymnasium.The school was ready for occupancy in 1910.The city architect Leven designed the school in spare neo-Renaissance forms, architecturally similar to the grammar school built at the same time, which, like the latter, was intended to be an "ornament of the (northern) quarter."Source: euskirchen.de/stadtinfo/historie/historischer-stadtfuehrer/nordschule
