Kratzeburg is located north of Neustrelitz in the middle of the national park. The "Flatterhus" houses an exhibition about bats and provides information about sights nearby. You can reach Kratzeburg with the regional train (route Rostock-Berlin).
The SpurWeg adventure trail runs between Kratzeburg and Dambeck. Visually impaired people and an accompanying person can borrow a Braille booklet on the trail from the information point. It can also be borrowed all year round at the Dambecker Park family holiday resort: Tel. 039822 / 20225.

In the National Park Information "Flatterhus" in Kratzeburg you can get lots of tips and information about the Müritz National Park. Maps and other brochures are also available here. There are toilets on the ground floor.
The bat exhibition for young and old on the upper floor is also worth a visit. Once a year, the Kratzeburg Bat Night takes place with information and activities relating to these exciting animals.
