The Fishermen's Church in Born a. Darß is a church building dating from 1935. It is located in the middle of a meadow in the village. The church was built in the winter of 1934/35, during the tenure of Pastor Dr. Wilhelm Pleß. The thatched wooden church was consecrated in April 1935. It was designed by the Hamburg architects Bernhard Hopp and Rudolf Jäger. The church has a barrel vault supported by wooden posts, which are secured by iron anchors. The longitudinal beams are decorated with Bible verses. In 1984, four small wooden figures were embedded in the altar wall. They were created by Bernhard Hopp and had been lost for a long time. The winged altarpiece above the altar dates from 1935 and was donated from Hopp's estate in 1987. The ship models are gifts of thanks from Born sailors.
