Tips
With its very diverse flora and fauna, the Darßwald covers most of the Baltic peninsula Darß and is under the protection of the national park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. In the north is followed by a landing area, the Darßer place. In the west, the forest extends to the Baltic Sea. This western beach is particularly romantic, as it constantly changes without human hands. Forest trees falling from the storm remain lying. Parts of the Darßwald are not managed and left unspoilt. In the total of 47 km ² large forest area of the Darßwald intersect 36 paths and invite you to extensive hiking by bike or on foot. For horses there are separate bridle paths.
