It is a graceful bronze statue created by the Salentine sculptor Antonio Bortone at the end of the 19th century in honor of Bartolomeo Tito Fanfulla. Born in the province of Lodi, Bartolomeo Fanfulla was an Italian soldier who fought as a flag captain in various battles against the Kingdom of France and the Republic of Pisa.
