Perfect stop for a walk on the Treptower Park side and Plänterwald ... and to catch a breath.

Depending on the weather, more or less clearly visible from here: Love Island and Kratzbruch, the island of youth, Treptower Park and Plänterwald from which the silhouette of the Giant Ferris wheel in the former Spree Park peeps out and to the west the Elsen bridge, behind which the monumental art work Molecule Man from the Spree towers.

This place is never too crowded, despite being one of the prettiest corners of Berlin. It's ideal for cycling, running or for walking the dog, and is a great place to take a rest during any Tour. Just remember to pick up some food or drinks beforehand as there aren't any spätis out here if you plan on staying awhile.
